What is the Fake Instagram Post Generator?
Fakerocket's Fake Instagram Post Generator mocks up a single-image Instagram post— gradient story ring around the avatar, username with verified tick option, optional location line, the square image area, the heart / comment / share / bookmark icon row, the "Liked by X" line, your caption, the view-comments link, and the time-ago footer in small caps.
Designed for designers, mostly
Product designers building social features need the IG visual grammar in mockups: feed cells, modal previews, profile previews. Drawing one in Figma is fine; drawing twelve isn't. Upload any image (the tool keeps it in your browser, never uploads to a server), set the username and caption, screenshot the output, and it slots into a pitch deck cleanly. The watermark stays small enough not to ruin the mockup feel.
What you can configure
- Username with optional location subtext and verified tick
- Post image — upload anything, or skip the upload and pick from six gradient presets with overlay text
- Caption with line breaks, emojis, and hashtags
- Likes count and comment count — both abbreviate automatically (12,483 → 12.5K)
- Time-ago labelin IG's tiny-caps style
Generate a fake IG post in three steps
- Set username, verified state, and optional location.
- Upload your image — or pick a gradient and add overlay text.
- Write the caption, set likes/comments, and hit Download PNG.
For full-screen content with a CTA, the Fake Tweet Generator gets more eyeballs per square inch. For chat-style content, Fake iMessage is the go-to.

FAQ
Can I upload my own image?
Yes. Upload any image and it becomes the square post. If you don't upload one we render a colorful gradient instead.
Does it support carousels?
Single image only for now. Carousel posts are coming next.
Will it look pixel-perfect to Instagram?
Close enough that the audience reads 'Instagram' instantly. The watermark is there to make sure no one mistakes it for a real post.
